Nekrath - The Price of Forgetting | Female-Fronted Gothic Metal (Official Music Video)

“The Price of Forgetting” is about what disappears when pain fades, the warning, the pattern, and the reason the wound mattered in the first place. NEKRATH on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0gwku... Enter the abyss. 🖤 Memory erosion, repeated cycles, buried instinct, slow crushing guitars, heavy drums, deep bass, intimate female vocals, explosive breakdowns, and a dark cinematic atmosphere built around the cost of forgetting. Lyrics: Forget the pain. Forget the proof. The first thing forgetting takes is the sharp edge. You can say the name without your body changing temperature. You call that freedom. Then it takes the sequence. Who said what. Which door closed. Why you stopped trusting silence. You call that peace. The price of forgetting is never just the pain. Next it takes the warning. The pattern becomes harmless because you cannot remember where it led last time. The same smile returns. The same sentence. The same apology wearing a different shirt. You call it a new beginning. Your nervous system calls it familiar. The price of forgetting is forgetting what the pain was for. Then one day you forget the reason you wanted to forget. Now the absence has no name. Only gravity. Only a missing room in the center of the house. No context. No warning. No witness. No map. You did not erase the fire. You erased the alarm. The price of forgetting was never the memory. It was the part of me that knew what it meant. I remember the feeling. That may be enough.
