On 18 October 2026, a programme was organised at the Constitution Club in Jaipur to discuss women's safety, crime prevention and the creation of a safe environment for women and girls. During the programme, the Chief Minister also announced a fixed monthly travel allowance for women police personnel deployed in Kalika Patrolling Units. He emphasised that women's safety is not just a law-and-order issue but also a matter of dignity, freedom, confidence and equal opportunities. 📌 Important Facts About Women's Safety in Rajasthan ✅ 100 New Kalika Patrolling Units: Flagged off by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. ✅ 48% Decline in Crimes Against Women: According to the Rajasthan government's announcement, reported cases of crimes against women in 2026 had declined by approximately 48% compared with 2023. ✅ 48 Days: The average investigation time in cases related to crimes against women was reported to have decreased to 48 days. ✅ More Than 55,000 Anti-Social Elements: Action was taken against them by Kalika Patrolling Units. ✅ 50 Lakh Women and Girls: Made aware of laws and legal rights. ✅ More Than 18 Lakh: Women and girls received cyber-safety awareness. ✅ More Than 16.70 Lakh: Women and girls received self-defence training. ✅ Women's Helpline 1090: More than 28,000 complaints were resolved in just under three years ✅ 65 Anti-Romeo Squads: Operating to help prevent harassment in public places. Kalika Patrolling Units are designed to improve the safety of women and girls through regular patrolling, crime prevention and police assistance. Their responsibilities include monitoring sensitive locations such as markets, schools, colleges, workplaces and public transport areas.
