Logging - Hand Cutting in Northern Maine - Great Northern Paper

In the early 90s Great Northern Paper sold to Georgia Pacific. GP made the decision to outsource the logging division to owner operators. This video is a portion of a 90 minute home movie documenting the final days Great Northern's commercial logging operation. Hand Cutting is the definition of hard work!! This video was shot in Northern Maine in November of 1990. I believe Great Northern Paper Woodlands Division closed up shop in March of 1991.
