This video contains three matches I had with the recently released LV1 Kapool on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 500 cost support with excellent mobility, high HP, access to LV1 Resist Move, boost fire missiles alongside access to a water-based transformation that grants Flap Booster. It suffers from all round mediocre DPS, long reload times, poor stagger output, having absolutely no instant staggers, alongside having somewhat short range for a support. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is an arm machine gun with 110 power, 60 ammo, 490 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range, 898 DPS and 9% stagger value. This has underwhelming DPS, but it can stagger enemies in just 1.4 seconds.
Its primary melee weapon is a pair of claws with 2200 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 90% side swing modifier and 80%x2 downswing modifier. This can do fairly good damage to generals, but your stun game isn't good enough to reliably combo into melee with. Furthermore, the downswing has less range compared with the original Capule.
Its first sub weapon is a pair of arm machine guns with 90x2 power, 60 ammo, 514 (600) RPM, 12 (20) seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m (400m) range, 1542 (1800) DPS and 4%x2 (5%x2) stagger value. These have much higher DPS than the regular arm machine gun, but they don't have much ammo, and you need to fully expose yourself to fire from both arms. The limit release mode grants temporary infinite ammo, longer range and a better rate of fire, but you must stop to fire while using it this way.
Its second sub weapon is a body missile launcher with 350 (350x8) power, 8 ammo, 300 RPM (1.5 seconds cooldown), 12 (17) seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range, 1750 DPS and 17% (17%x8) stagger value. This can be fired while boosting, but it is difficult to stagger with, and it doesn't deal that much damage. The limit release mode grants temporary infinite ammo and a better rate of fire. It is still difficult to stagger enemies with the limit release, but it is better than nothing.
Its third sub weapon is a cluster missile launcher with 200x5 power, 8 ammo, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 20 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 13%x5 stagger value. These can be fired while boosting, and each missile continues to explode over 2.5 seconds after being fired. However, they have very long reload time, and even if you get an ally to set you up, they have low damage and stagger potential compared to similar weapons found on other supports.
The LV1 Kapool has 19000 HP, 20 ballistic resist, 20 beam resist and 14 melee resist. It has very high HP for a 500 cost support, paired with access to the ever useful LV1 Resist Move.
In terms of mobility it has 125 (128 with ground affinity) walk speed, 200 boosting speed, 70 thrust and 66 (72 with ground affinity) turning speed. It has very high mobility for a 500 cost support, only being rivalled by the Prototype Kampfer and the Gelgoog Cannon (JN). It has LV2 Forced Injector and LV2 Flight Control, but also benefits from having good side-to-side walking speed.
It also has a new skill called LV1 Assault Stance Kai. With your missile launcher weapons equipped, after boosting on or underwater for 1 second, you gain +20 HSM, consume 70% less thrust, gain LV1 Flap Booster, gain instant stagger resistance, take 30% less ranged damage, alongside being able to ram enemies for a stagger and 2500 guaranteed damage. These effects subsist even after leaving the water.
In conclusion, I feel that despite its durability, skillset and high mobility, the Kapool is quite underwhelming. It has no instant stagger, which isn't necessarily a dealbreaker, but it has mediocre accumulation stagger as well, making it quite awkward to do just about anything with the suit. The DPS and stagger abilities are inferior even to the old original 500 cost Capule, which makes absolutely no sense when this is a 2026 support version of the same suit. It is absolutely horrible on maps without water, but even on maps where you can abuse the water transformation gimmick, it just isn't that much of a threat. It doesn't contribute much to the team, and even if you have a team that sets you up, you lack the DPS output to kill anything quickly. I think it will probably get a buff soon. Reload time, DPS, stagger power, everything needs major buffs... Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!
