Turbinoplasty: new way vs old way

In this video I discuss how turbinoplasty is performed. I describe the “old way” it used to be performed, by resecting the inferior turbinate. While usually a successful procedure it had the potential to cause a extremely frustrating and possibly permanent side effect, called “empty nose syndrome”.
