55 RUSH YARDS?! But Tait Reynolds Showed REAL Progress | Clemson vs Miami Film Review

www.bipslist.com - Film Reviewed Player Ratings www.patreon.com/PalmettoRivalryReactions - Talk Ball and Film Review Requests Clemson lost to Miami 41-13, and while the final score was ugly, the offensive film tells a more layered story. The biggest takeaway? Clemson’s run game got shut down — but freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds showed real progression. Reynolds finished 29-of-44 for 295 yards, all career highs, while Bryant Wesco Jr. exploded for 9 catches and 152 yards and Tyler Brown added 10 receptions for 76 yards. Clemson had some real success through the air, but the offense still couldn’t find enough balance or finish enough drives to seriously challenge Miami. The biggest issue was the ground game. Clemson managed only 55 net rushing yards on 31 carries, averaging just 1.8 yards per rush. Miami also recorded 6 sacks, and Clemson’s offense produced only one touchdown all night. A late interception returned for a touchdown made the scoreboard look even worse. In this offensive film review, I break down: Tait Reynolds’ progression as a freshman quarterback Why Reynolds’ 295-yard night matters Bryant Wesco Jr.’s huge 152-yard performance Tyler Brown’s impact with 10 catches Why Clemson’s rushing attack got completely shut down The effect of allowing 6 sacks The lack of red-zone and drive-finishing success Protection issues and offensive-line concerns Whether the passing game showed enough to build on Why the run game has to improve if Clemson wants this offense to take the next step So yes, Clemson got beat badly — but the film also shows that Tait Reynolds gave Clemson something to work with, even if the rest of the offense didn’t help enough. Do you think this game showed that Tait Reynolds is the future, or are the problems around him still too big? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
