Sugar Skulls | Calaveritas de Azúcar - Dia de los Muertos Arts & Crafts

Dia de los Muertos | Day of the Dead WEEK: Videos for kids by kids LuMaya walks us through the steps of making and decorating sugar skulls. Presented by Tierra Caliente Academy and the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. Sugar skulls are traditional to Altars, as decorations and can also write on the skulls forehead the name of the loved family member/friend you are remembering and honoring. Also, they make reference to the "Catrina Garbancera" and the traditional "Calaveritas" as verses. All this leading to the Nov. 1st premier of their video on "Dia de los Muertos through the eyes of our youth".
