Smooth start to school year in Northern Cape

The first day of school lived up to expectations for many Grade 1 learners who began their 12-year journey today. Some of the learners who started school at Staats Primary School in Kimberley, put on a brave faces while their peers cried for their parents. Schooling across the province got off to a smooth start, with over 99 percent of children already placed at various schools.
