Kottoor Kappukadu Elephant Rehabilitation Centre - For the elephant enthusiasts and for all who would like to have fun with elephants, come to Kappukadu Kottoor elephant rehabilitation center in Trivandrum, kerala. Kottoor elephant Rescue & Rehabilitation centre located in Kappukadu near Neyyar Reservoir, which is at a distance of 35 km from Trivandrum city, and is a part of Agasthyavanam Biological Park lying in Agastya Koodam Hills range.Flanked by the water of the Neyyar reservoir and the moist deciduous forest and grass lands, the Elephant Rehabilitation Centre at Kottur spreads over 56 hectares and is surrounded by trenches to keep wild animals at bay. The centre aims to rehabilitate injured, rogue and abandoned elephants. The ideal time to visit the centre is between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., when the elephants are bathed and fed.
