18 - Ocean Pour Painting - PAINT ALONG - Full Length Tutorial - Step by Step

In this video I paint an ocean inspired acrylic pour painting, with cells, using an Apple Barrel paint bundle, Flood Floetrol and OGX Coconut Milk hair serum. *Links for these products are below* This video is a complete step by step tutorial. With no speeding up. You can paint along with me if you would like! There is one part where you should pause the video to mix the rest of your paints. So that would put the total time around an hour (mixing plus the video). The technique used is a wandering dirty straight pour. This turns out to be a beautiful multi shaded blue color with lots of multi ringed cells, that look like sparkling ocean water. *BEFORE STARTING* Paint Area Preparation: I did not go over these steps in the video. But these are some important things to do before getting started: 1) Choose an area that is out of the way and has a low chance of being disturbed by pets, family members, direct sunlight or blowing air. 2) The area under your canvas will get messy with paint. So lay something out to catch the paint. My choice is to lay down a thin plastic drop cloth. And then a few sheets of wax paper, making sure to overlap the edges. The drop cloth is reusable. And the wax paper can be easily folded up and discarded when the paint dries. 3) After setting the blank canvas up in your area, use a level (the tool) to measure how level your canvas is. Make any adjustments needed so that it is level. 4) I choose to leave my painting to dry in the same place where I painted it.
