Divine Mercy Chaplet | Catholic Prayer for Mercy

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a powerful Catholic prayer centered on trusting in the mercy and love of Jesus Christ. It is traditionally prayed using a Rosary, although it can also be prayed without beads. The prayer asks God to have mercy on us and on the whole world, especially sinners and those who are suffering. It offers the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus to the Father in prayer and repeatedly places our trust in God's mercy. The Chaplet was given to St. Faustina Kowalska through her reported encounters with Jesus, who encouraged her to spread devotion to Divine Mercy. A particularly traditional time to pray the Chaplet is 3:00 p.m., known as the Hour of Great Mercy, commemorating the hour of Jesus' death. However, it may be prayed at any time.
