Basal cell carcinomas are the most common form of skin cancer. While they are rarely fatal, they are the most destructive. Being diagnosed with skin cancer is scary enough, but not knowing what to expect is the worst part for many people. Erin Riggsmith shares her "cancerface" journey of having a basal cell carcinoma and Mohs procedure with a forehead flap closure. I began researching Mohs procures and types of closures after my diagnosis, and the forehead flap terrified me. I prayed that I would not have to have one.
