County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust: failings in breast surgery services

In the latest episode of our Righting Wrongs podcast, Hayley Collinson discusses developments around the failings in breast surgery services at County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust. An ongoing review has found that approximately one in six women treated for breast cancer at the trust were caused ‘moderate or severe harm’. Hayley also highlights that many patients have expressed concerns about being referred to high-volume ‘two-week-wait’ clinics which were being run on a ‘pay-per-patient’ basis.
