How to Celebrate Others While You’re Still Waiting on God

How do you genuinely celebrate people who are receiving the things you’re still waiting on God for? In this video, I’m talking about the season I’m currently in: watching friends get married, get engaged, land new jobs, receive visas and get opportunities I also wanted, while there are still so many things I’m waiting on God for myself. I talk about being single and healing from heartbreak, showing up wholeheartedly for my friends’ weddings, dealing with uncertainty around my own visa, and even celebrating a friend who got the exact brand opportunity we both applied for. I’m learning that being happy for someone else doesn’t mean I no longer desire what they have. I can celebrate your answered prayer and still take my own desires back to God. Someone else’s good news isn’t bad news for me. Jesus is in the neighbourhood. 🤍
