String crossings are probably the most difficult aspect of this piece, since it was written for another "scordatura" This is how I would play this piece in auditions and it is not intended to be an historical informed version. In auditions we have have to show vibrato, a big sound, piano, phrasing, detache and leggiero in two minutes. The Urtext edition is better. Nevertheless I recommend to play the Tischer Zeitz edition by Schott when playing an audition.
