EMEC tidal test site animation

Established in 2003, the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney, Scotland, is the world's first and leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters. EMEC's tidal test site is located at the Fall of Warness, off the island of Eday, in a narrow channel which funnels the tide as it flows between the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea. This animation illustrates the infrastructure available at the test sites to aid developers in testing their pioneering tidal energy converters.
