WEEK 2 • DAY 09 A Life of Integrity KEY SCRIPTURE Proverbs 10:9; Psalm 25:21 Bible Story Samuel’s Integrity — 1 Samuel 12:1–5 At the transition of leadership, Samuel publicly invited the people to identify anyone whose property he had taken or whom he had defrauded or oppressed. The people affirmed his integrity. Samuel’s example challenges us to be honest, accountable, and trustworthy in our responsibilities. Devotional Thought Integrity means choosing a straight path even when shortcuts seem easier. When we fall short, reverence for God moves us to confess, make things right where possible, and return to truth. Reflect Is there a promise, responsibility, or relationship where I need to act more honestly? Today’s Practice Keep a commitment, correct a small dishonesty, or take responsibility without making excuses. Daily Confession “I choose integrity in my words and actions. When I fall short, I repent, make things right where possible, and continue in God’s truth.” Prayer God of truth, make my path straight. Strengthen me to be honest and dependable, and give me humility to make amends when I have done wrong. Amen.
