Pt. D.K. Datar (violin) & Pt. V. Ghate - 1992 (video) - Shuddha Kalyan, Dhun, Bageshree, Bhairavi

This is the full concert from Oct. 2, 1992 in Ottawa, Canada. I had previously uploaded the audio but discovered I had the VHS video. The audio is straight from the soundboard. Pandit Damodar Keshav (D.K.) Datar received his initial violin lessons from Pandit Vighneshwar Shastri. He later underwent training in Hindusthani Classical music from his uncle, acclaimed Hindustani vocalist Pandit D. V. Paluskar. Pandit Vijay Ghate is a disciple of Pandit Suresh Talwalkar and has accompanied virtually all of the leading Hindusthani instrumentalists and vocalists. Tanpura accompaniment by Mangal Waghmare on the left and Meena Vekateshwaran on the right. Mangal is one of the organizers. Meena is a very good Carnatic violinist who studied under Vidwan M.S. Anantraman. 0:00:00 Shuddha Kalyan - vilambit ektal & drut tintal 0:46:00 Dhun - kherwa 1:03:00 Bageshree - vilambit jhaptal & tintal 1:51:41Pahadi Dhun - dadra and kherwa (laggi) 2:09:35 Bhairavi - tintal
