Lydia: The Church No One Expected

30.08.2026 Acts: 16, 11-15 and 40 DONATE:https://givealittle.co/c/erskineparish What happens when a handful of people, easily overlooked and perhaps forgotten, find one another and begin to follow God together? In Acts 16, Lydia becomes part of something much bigger than herself. What begins with a small gathering by the river grows into a community of faith, ordinary people brought together by an extraordinary God. There is no grand building, impressive crowd, or established institution. Just a group of unlikely people, gathering, sharing, praying, and opening their homes to one another. Lydia’s story reminds us that God often begins His greatest work in unexpected places, through unexpected people. The church no one expected was formed when forgotten people banded together and God gave them a purpose.
