The ball flies over a net. Your team dives, passes and sends it back. Why do players keep changing positions, and why does a set sometimes continue beyond twenty-five? Let us follow six-player indoor volleyball. Learn the rules and follow the play from scratch, with original diagrams and examples. Part of How Sports Work, from Make Learning Fun Again. The Fun is in finding out. Rules scope: FIVB 2025-2028 six-player indoor rules, a standard best-of-five match with the fifth set played to 15. This is not beach volleyball and not a domestic scoring variation; some events use appointed-event table points, which are not covered here. Event regulations can differ. Honest labels: the arena, the court, the players, the ball and the score board are computer-made illustrations, not footage of real teams or players. BLUE and GOLD are made-up teams, and every rally, score and example is invented and illustrative. The separate examples (the ball on the line, the hit that goes out, the block touch, the catch, the double contact, the set scores, the libero) are marked as examples and never change our match. The net height is not stated in the film. The narration is a synthetic voice. Rules checked: 24 October 2026 against the FIVB Official Volleyball Rules 2025-2028.
