Why This Vietnam Route Is a Driver's Dream | Da Lat to Saigon

Join us on a long scenic drive from Da Lat to Saigon, traveling through some of the most beautiful mountain roads and highways in southern Vietnam. This journey begins around Xuan Huong Lake in the center of Da Lat, the cool highland city known for its pine forests, peaceful streets and beautiful mountain scenery. From the city, we continue downhill through the scenic Prenn Pass, one of the important mountain routes connecting Da Lat with the lower areas of Lam Dong. The road gradually changes as we leave the pine forests behind and enter wider valleys and countryside landscapes. We continue toward the Lien Khuong area and follow the Lien Khuong–Prenn Expressway, enjoying smooth highway sections surrounded by green hills and open landscapes. From there, the journey continues toward Duc Trong before turning toward the Dai Ninh area. The scenery becomes quieter and more rural, with winding mountain roads, green hills, coffee-growing areas and wide views across the highlands. The Dai Ninh Pass section offers another change of scenery. The road climbs and descends through forested hills, with long curves and beautiful views along the way. This is one of the most enjoyable parts of the journey for anyone who loves road trips and scenic driving in Vietnam. After leaving the mountain roads, we continue toward the coastal side of southern Vietnam and eventually connect with the Vinh Hao–Phan Thiet Expressway. The modern expressway provides a completely different driving experience, with wider lanes, long straight sections and expansive views of the surrounding landscape. From the highlands to the expressway, this road trip shows how dramatically the landscape of southern Vietnam can change within a single journey. Pine forests, mountain passes, valleys, coffee hills, countryside roads and modern expressways all become part of the same drive. Finally, we continue south toward Saigon, bringing this long journey from the cool highlands of Da Lat to the busy metropolitan landscape of southern Vietnam to an end.
