Alamahr | Purple Sessions

Welcome to the Studio SuperSound channel and to the very first Purple Sessions, our series of live performances recorded in our studio. Our first guests, Alamàhr, carry the sounds of the Mediterranean into the room: melodies that echo the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa, reshaped into an intimate, melody-driven chamber jazz. Clarinet, guitar and double bass weave around one another with the ease of musicians who listen as closely as they play. The trio, based between Bologna and Ferrara, writes its own material, and this set opens with three originals by guitarist Lorenzo Negroni before closing with a tribute to Charlie Haden.
