COOLER UPGRADE | Fly Fishing, Camp Cooking & Testing my New Dometic CFX5 55 55IM Cooler & Battery

Recently I got to get out on the Deschutes River with my friends Sharif and Kevin for a little fly fishing, camp cooking and a new refrigerated cooler and battery pack shakedown run. The cooler is the Dometic CFX5 55 55IM. It's a 55L cooler that can also make ice cubes! It can be controlled manually or through Bluetooth and an app. This thing is great and a welcomed addition to our camping setup. We already have a fridge/freezer in our  ‪@FourWheelCampers‬  Fleet model which is great, but having the extra cooling power allows us to stay out longer and eat well doing it! We powered the cooler through the Dometic PLB40 Portable Lithium Battery pack. It can be charged through either AC or DC power or through solar. I was pretty happy with both of these and look forward to really being able to put them through their paces in the future. More to come down the road! Find out more here: https://www.dometic.com All of us are known to enjoy some liquid refreshments and could think of no better way to fill the new cooler than with some amazing locally produced beer and NA beer. Kevin works for one of my all-time favorite breweries ‪@pFriemFamilyBrewers‬ and he brought out some of their extremely well crafted beers for us to enjoy including some new seasonals. I have been helping out the incredibly kind and wonderful team at Roaming Nobles by trying to help improve on some of their tasty non alcoholic beers as well as helping to come up with some new ones. NA beer is growing rapidly and it's been fun to use my experience to help come up with some exciting and well made offerings. More details can be found here: https://www.pfriembeer.com https://www.roamingnobles.com My friend Sharif flew down from Alaska for a visit but also to try to capture some photos in a landscape a little different than what he is used to. Sharif is an incredible photographer who really excels at capturing the night sky and the surrounding landscapes. We've known each for a number of years and I'm honored to call him my friend. He was able to test out a new battery setup for his camera that allowed him to capture some really cool time lapses, one of which is featured in the video! Be sure to find him on Instagram and check out more of his amazing work.
