Guardian Angel, Watch Over Us | Gregorian Chant, Latin Prayer for Protection and Peace

Guardian Angel, watch over us: Gregorian chant and the Angele Dei, a Latin prayer for protection and peace 👼 Angel of God, our guardian, cover us with your wings. Most of us learned this prayer as children, and it has not grown any smaller. Sung softly by voices alone, it asks for light on the day, safety on the road and a guarded night. Come back to it for: • bedtime prayer with your children • protection for someone travelling • a peaceful night's sleep • starting the morning under your angel's care Lyrics & Translation: Angele Dei Custos Noster Angele Dei, custos noster. Hodie illumina, custodi nos. Rege et guberna vias nostras. Custodi somnum, custodi noctem. Alis tuis tege nos. Angele Dei, ora pro nobis. Angel of God, our guardian. This day give us light, keep us safe. Rule and guide our ways. Guard our sleep, guard the night. Cover us with your wings. Angel of God, pray for us. Tell us who you are entrusting to their guardian angel today. We will pray for them too. 🕯 🔔 Subscribe for a new Gregorian chant every day.
