Beautiful Six

“Let their light illuminate the darkness...” 🕯️ Today marks exactly two years since the heartbreaking news of the “Beautiful Six” shattered the world on September 1, 2024. After enduring nearly eleven months of cruel captivity in the darkness of the tunnels in Rafah, they were stolen from us just days before a potential rescue. Even in the deepest abyss, they held hands, lit Chanukah candles together, and protected each other's humanity. This piece is an eternal, living monument to their strength, their beautiful souls, and their unbreakable light. In deep and everlasting memory of: 🎗️ Hersh Goldberg-Polin (23) 🎗️ Eden Yerushalmi (24) 🎗️ Ori Danino (25) 🎗️ Alex Lobanov (32) 🎗️ Almog Sarusi (27) 🎗️ Carmel Gat (40) May their beautiful memories forever be a blessing. We will never forget. We will dance again. Lyrics & Concept: AyLee Lyrics: A clear starry night And I look to the sky Stars more than I can count The sky hasn’t hasn’t changed But our lives have been touched And changed more than anyone would ever want On the fateful morning My eyes could not believe And our hearts stood still for more than two years Every day repeating itself And after more than thousand days The Beautiful six are not forgotten They live on in our hearts In the sky, the moon and the stars Around the globe in our hearts All Israel lives השישה היפים אינם נשכחים הם חיים בליבנו בשמיים, בירח ובכוכבים מסביב לעולם בליבנו עם ישראל חי Twelve hundred more stars light the sky Since that dark and blackened Saturday The world has changed more than I thought it ever would Families reunited with hope and love Whilst Batman paints orange stars in the above And for others there are scars that remain Some caught up somewhere between healing and pain And yet, there is one thing that for sure remains The Beautiful six are not forgotten They live on in our hearts In the sky, the moon and the stars Around the globe in our hearts All Israel lives השישה היפים אינם נשכחים הם חיים בליבנו בשמיים, בירח ובכוכבים מסביב לעולם בליבנו עם ישראל חי We are one people united Closer than ever United through love אַהֲבַת יִשְׂרָאֵל עם ישראל חי
