This video will show you how I made my mom a shirt (Mom your Tea Riffic!) on a cotton T-shirt using a printed image on my Epson eco tank 2400 with sublimation ink ( A Sub Ink) by using a layer of Clear HTV and my new HTVRONT 15 x 15 Heat press. It is a hack for sublimation on cotton (which is normally not possible unless it's Polyester).
This Demo I wanted to reduce the amount of Clear HTV feel on the shirt by cutting out the exact design. So I will also share in Design Space how I made it so that I could have my Cricut Maker cut my printed image ALL in one piece, but so I would be able to line it up on the clear htv in numerous areas with no guess work. One thing I learned from this test was that I do want to make at least a .2 offset of the clear htv (to account for shrinkage). I wanted to try this shirt with an exact htv layer instead of a slight offset. But there was a slight overlap of the image onto the t-shirt which is fine but it will wash off on those overlaps since it is a cotton t-shirt.
I'd really appreciate a like and subscribe as I'm just getting started.
I make videos for free in my spare time to share crafty knowledge with you. If you would like to buy me a tea to show your gratitude on learning something it would mean a lot to me! https://bmc.link/nikki40
