There are some trips where you arrive at a destination and immediately feel surrounded by crowds. Tulum wasn't like that.
Arriving to find the resort, the beaches, and the coastal trails completely empty shifted everything. It stopped being about checking off sights and became an exercise in slowing down—floating through the silent caverns of Gran Cenote, walking ancient Mayan cliffs above the Caribbean, and learning how to be entirely unanchored.
We don't really own the places we visit; we only borrow them for a moment.
📍 Locations & Highlights:
• Kai / Alito Hotel Coastline & Empty Beaches
• Coastal Cycling & Jungle Trails
• Snorkeling along the Caribbean Reef
• Zona Arqueológica de Tulum (Temple of the Wind God)
• Gran Cenote (Cave Snorkeling & Freshwater Turtles)
• Treehouse Dining at Mateo's & Evening Storms
