THE CHALUMEAU - Update after some months of practice | Tupian Chalumeau | clarinet, clarineau

About one year ago I bought my first chalumeau, tried it - and failed badly. Here's an update after some months of practice. The chalumeau is the predesessor of the clarinet and a member of the family of reed instruments. This means that, as with the clarinet, the mouthpiece holds a piece of reed, which generates the tone. It is, so to speak, a flute, similar to the recorder, with a clarinet mouthpiece. The fingering of the chalumeau is also similar to the recorder. I have to say, the chalumeau, like all reed instruments I guess, is not easy to play. There are so many little things to pay attention to... BUT: I love it. :) Playing this interesting instrument is simply joyful. ♥ Have you ever tried a chalumeau? Tell me in the comments if you like, I would love to know!
