Exploring Logansport, Louisiana: Small Town Along the Sabine River Near #Texas Border

Take a drive with us around Logansport, Louisiana, which is nestled next to the Sabine River and the border with the state of Texas. We will come into Logansport on LA 764 South, drive through downtown and cross over the Sabine River bridge, then onto US Highway 84 East before we turn onto LA 5 North to leave town. We will pass by many shops, the post office, the fire station, and a local bank. We will see the “ghost sign” for NJ Caraway & Co. and we will get a really good look at it since the speed limit is 25 mph. We will drive over the Sabine River bridge and briefly be in Texas before coming back over the bridge. As we leave Logansport on LA 5, we will drive by the library, a couple of Baptist churches, a Dairy Queen, and the high school. Logansport is in DeSoto parish and has about 1300 residents.
