"When you do something hard, you realize something about yourself that you didn’t already know.” This weekend, we climbed 7.2 million vertical feet and covered more than 6,000 miles together. We had a lot of first-timers on the mountain. A lot of REDemption stories years in the making. People earning the red hat after coming up short before. And people who knew the math wasn’t going to work in their favor, but kept climbing anyway. By Saturday afternoon, the summit was electric. People sticking around to cheer for friends and strangers. Hugs, tears, cowbells, tired legs and a whole lot of love up there. It was one of the best summit celebrations we’ve had. Because somewhere in those 36 hours, things change. You find out what you do when it gets really hard. You realize you’re capable of more than you thought. You make friends with people you might never have met anywhere else. And whether you left Sun Valley with a red hat or a white bib, you left knowing a little more about yourself than you did when you started. Sun Valley, that was a good one. Keep Climbing.
