You can produce over 420 units of X-Tech at a time and sell them for over 320,000 credits with max Commerce skill. This video shows how to mass-produce X-Tech at your outpost and sell it.
X-Tech is a new resource introduced in the April 2026 "Free Lanes" update for Starfield, the 2023 space RPG by Bethesda. At 5000 credits per unit, X-Tech is the most expensive farmable resource in the game currently. (Previously, Vytinium Fuel Rod was the most expensive farmable resource at 836 credits per unit.)
You are required to buy the $10 Terran Armada expansion in order to be able to craft X-Tech. You need to progress in the main questline of Terran Armada until you are given X-Tech crafting.
X-Tech crafting is slow, at only 1 unit per hour. But with the trick described in this video, you can speed up production to about six times the original speed. You can produce over 420 units of X-Tech by just waiting 24 hours (which only takes a minute in real time).
The trick is simply this: build X-Tech extractors on any planet or moon (such as Codos in this video), then wait 24 hours on a planet with a very long day (such as Venus). The result is that WAY more than 24 hours will have passed on the planet where your X-Tech extractors are, resulting in much more X-Tech produced.
