Why do we fall in love when we know how much it can hurt? “Why Do We Fall in Love?” finds Black Caeza wrestling with one of life's oldest questions from three different perspectives: the pain of love, the beauty of love, and finally, the reason we continue choosing it. The first verse comes from frustration. Arguments, disrespect, emotional distance, and the exhaustion of trying to keep a relationship together can make a man question why he ever opened his heart in the first place. Then the perspective changes. Love is also having someone beside you when life gets heavy. It's private jokes, late-night conversations, familiar touches, companionship, family, and having somebody who knows your flaws but can still see the person underneath them. By the final verse, Black Caeza realizes something important: Falling in love is only the beginning. The bigger question is what happens when the butterflies disappear, disagreements become real, and two imperfect people have seen every side of each other. That's when the song changes from: “Why do we fall in love?” to... “Why do we stay in love?” Because falling can happen through emotion. Staying requires a choice.
