In the Blue of Evening (Sinatra cover)

This week I'm posting three more songs from one of my favorite Sinatra albums, 1961's "I Remember Tommy." Frank first came to national attention as lead vocalist with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra from 1940–1942. His 1961 tribute album, following Dorsey's death, featured fresh arrangements of the old hits by Sy Oliver. "In the Blue of Evening" is a beautiful ballad written by Tom Montgomery, Tom Adair, and Al D’Artega. Recorded live.
