Part 2/2. Over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th April 2016, the Nene Valley Railway held their 'Industrials Gala'. These scenes were filmed on the 23rd April 2016.

Shots taken in and around Yarwell Station, Wansford Station and Sutton Cross.
Notable workings included No. 1700 'Wissington' and No. D.L.83 working demonstration freights between Wansford and Yarwell Mill.
One of the star attractions of the event was Hunslet 0-6-0ST 'Newtead' which was on static display after discovery in a shed in near perfect condition. After withdrawal from Wolley Colliery in 1970, 'Newstead' disappeared. No one knew what happened to the engine after withdrawal. It was discovered earlier this year that 'Newstead' had been purchased by a private owner, who had her restored and kept her in secret. 'Newstead' had been stored in a shed in a convent in Hertfordshire. The 'Small Loco Group' from the Nene Valley Railway were contacted by the widow of the owner - the owner of the loco had sadly passed away and 'Newstead' was in need of a new home. 'Newstead' was found to be in near perfect condition, if a little rusty and covered in dust. After removal and loading onto a lorry 'Newstead' moved to the Nene Valley Railway. Quite a story indeed! (See Part 1 of this video for footage of 'Newstead').
