Flying Car, Bulletproof SUV & a 2-Second EV at Pakistan Auto Show 2026

Toyota, Honda & Suzuki's monopoly is cracking. At Pakistan Auto Show 2026 we covered the BYD Shark 6, Denza B8, BYD Atto 2, Chery Q, Jetour T2, iCAUR, GWM Tank 500, a flying car, a bulletproof SUV and a sub-2-second electric supercar. PAPS 2026 was the biggest, busiest auto show Pakistan has seen, and the clearest sign yet that the market is changing. Chinese brands are everywhere. EVs and plug-in hybrids aren't a novelty anymore. And for the first time, buyers genuinely have to think about which car to pick. 🚗 WHAT WE COVERED ⚡ Chery Q: the show's grand surprise Unveiled behind a red ribbon and not yet in showrooms. Fully electric at around Rs 55 lakh, with roughly 400 km of claimed range (about 350 km real-world), six airbags, ADAS, auto parking and sedan-level rear legroom. Deliveries are expected from November. Colours include red, purple, pink, blue, white and silver. It's lined up to take on the Kia Stonic. 🦈 BYD Shark 6 Anniversary Edition The new Outback Orange limited edition was the head-turner of the show. 🔋 Denza B8 & BYD Atto 2 BYD's team on how fast Pakistan is moving to electric. The Denza B8 is their premium luxury SUV, built for mountains and city alike. The Atto 2 is their urban EV, with around 380 km per charge. 🛻 GWM Tank 500 PHEV A plug-in hybrid alternative to the Land Cruiser at around Rs 2.5 crore, against Rs 6–8 crore. Instead of a Rs 41,000 fuel fill-up, city driving can run almost entirely on electric. 🚙 Jetour T2 & iCAUR Two boxy, rugged SUVs. The Jetour T2 may be the best-looking SUV at the show. The iCAUR has a 35 kWh battery, 21-inch alloys and all-wheel drive. 🏎️ GAC electric supercar 0–60 in under two seconds, at the price of a normal car. ✈️ Lucky Motors Air Cab A flying car you book like a ride, coming to Pakistan. This is Pakistan, not Dubai. 🛡️ Bulletproof SUV test AK-47, G3 and even a bazooka. None of them got through. 🇵🇰 MADE IN PAKISTAN Thermosol Industries makes plastic auto parts (radiator bottles, wiper bottles and AC ducting) for Audi, Volkswagen, Renault and more. They export to 13 countries and had just returned from an exhibition in Frankfurt. 🚑 Pakistan's first EV ambulance A diesel ambulance converted to electric with about 200 km of range, with 400–500 km variants available. It's an Advanced Cardiac Life Support unit with a ventilator, patient monitor, AED and nebulizer.
