Resilovo Monastery & Belchin Village Bulgaria

Resilovo Monastery, "Protection of the Mother of God" is set in a naturally beautiful spot at the foot of Rila Mountain. The monastery was founded in 1932 and is a permanent nunnery, and is the perfect place for spiritual reflection and relaxation. The village of Belchin dates back to the 2nd Bulgarian Empire. Tsar Mali Grad, the fortress overlooking Belchin, is part of the museum complex and is reached by funicular cable car. Included in the complex is the church St Petka which dates back to the 13thc.
