Rain on the Shoji ☔🍁 Japanese kokyū lofi for reading and slow rainy afternoons

🌙 Still Sunny · Slow Living — a slow story, one calm hour at a time. Subscribe so the quiet finds you 🌻    / @stillsunnymusic   It started raining around three and hasn't stopped. Nora slid the shoji open anyway — she likes to hear it. She's playing the kokyū, the old Japanese bowed instrument, very slowly. Every so often she stops and just listens: the rain on the stones, the drip from the eaves, the lamp humming beside her. Then she picks the phrase up again. One hour of Japanese lofi led by the kokyū, with koto, biwa, shakuhachi and shinobue woven underneath. The rain comes and goes. By the end, it clears. 🎧 Best enjoyed while: • reading on a rainy afternoon • writing, slowly • a cup of tea and nowhere to be • any grey day you'd rather spend inside 🎵 Tracklist 0:00 Kokyu in the Rain 2:57 Reading While It Rains 5:49 Biwa Long Rest 9:26 Slow Bow Warm Room 12:22 Flute and Open Doors 15:23 First Rain of the Season 18:48 Rain Before Sleep 21:30 Rain Stops Garden Drips 24:46 Kokyu in the Rain II 27:38 Koto Nothing Planned 30:39 Kokyu Clearing Sky 33:51 Biwa Long Rest II 36:35 Slow Bow Warm Room II 38:50 Flute and Open Doors II 41:51 Reading While It Rains II 45:22 Rain Before Sleep II 48:58 First Rain of the Season II 51:30 Koto Nothing Planned II 54:35 Rain Stops Garden Drips II 57:21 Kokyu Clearing Sky II If you need a quiet place to return to, subscribe and come back anytime. ☀️ Music and artwork in this video were created with the support of generative AI, then selected, arranged, edited, and produced for Still Sunny. #Lofi #JapaneseLofi #RainyDay
