Inside the Construction of Uganda’s New Standard Gauge Railway!

Uganda’s railway transport is entering a new phase. Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) has introduced additional passenger train services on the Kampala–Mukono route, giving commuters more travel options along one of the country’s busiest corridors. But that is only part of the story. In this video, we look at Uganda’s Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project — from the 272-kilometre Malaba–Kampala Eastern Route to the construction of sleeper factories, railway infrastructure, bridges, track laying, signaling and future electrification.
