The Belchertown Conservation Commission meets to review several permit applications, including a continued single-family home project on West Street, an accessory dwelling unit at Lake Drive, septic system replacement on Summit Street, a deck-to-mudroom conversion on Gulf Road, and a new flood mitigation project by the Springfield Water & Sewer Commission on Mill Valley Road. Discussion items include payment of MACC and MSMCP dues and a W.B. Mason invoice, approval of multiple sets of minutes from 2025 and 2026, deed acceptance for Lot B‑2 State Street, introduction of two potential new associate commission members, consideration of the town’s purchase of Lot 105‑61 next to The Meadows Conservation Area, and preliminary feedback on design concepts for Seargent Street. The Commission will also hear requests for Certificates of Compliance (including 6 Berkshire Avenue and projects on Daniel Shays Highway and South Liberty Street), a request to extend the restoration Order of Conditions for the Gulf Road culvert for three years, updates on violations at North Washington Street and Cordner Road, mail items including several Forest Cutting Plans and a Right of First Refusal on South Liberty Street, and emergency certificates for work at 480 Chauncey Walker Road (beaver dam breach and flow control device) and potential algaecide application at Lake Holland, plus any additions or deletions to the agenda with the Chair’s consent.
