𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗛 𝗔𝗟-𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔 𝟲𝟭–𝟲𝟰 𝗧𝗔𝗙𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗥 | 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗬𝗧𝗔𝗡’𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘, 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗘 & 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗨𝗦 In this Surah Al-Isra 61–64 Tafseer, we explore the powerful conversation between Allah ﷻ and Iblis, the arrogance that caused his downfall, his request for respite until the Day of Resurrection, and the ways he vowed to mislead the children of Adam. These ayahs expose an important reality about our greatest enemy: Shaytan does not force us to sin — he calls, whispers, beautifies falsehood, and tries to pull us away from obedience to Allah ﷻ. Understanding his methods helps us recognize his whispers and protect our iman. Surah Al-Isra 61 begins with the command for the angels to prostrate before Adam عليه السلام. Everyone obeyed except Iblis. His refusal was not because he did not know Allah, but because arrogance and pride prevented him from obeying the command. He considered himself superior because of what he was created from, becoming an example of how pride can turn knowledge into disobedience. In Ayahs 62–64, Iblis declares his intention to mislead the descendants of Adam. He asks Allah ﷻ for respite and says that he will try to lead people away from the straight path through temptation, deception, and worldly distractions. Allah allows this trial while making clear that Shaytan's authority is limited: he cannot control sincere servants of Allah who refuse to follow him. These verses are therefore not only about Iblis — they are about us. They teach us to recognize arrogance, temptation, false promises, excessive attachment to wealth and children, and the distractions that can slowly pull the heart away from Allah ﷻ. 📌 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢: 🔹 Complete Tafseer and explanation of Surah Al-Isra 61–64 🔹 Why Allah ﷻ commanded the angels to prostrate before Adam عليه السلام 🔹 Why Iblis refused to obey Allah’s command 🔹 How arrogance and pride became the reason for Iblis's downfall 🔹 The difference between knowing the truth and actually submitting to Allah ﷻ 🔹 Iblis's request for respite until the Day of Resurrection 🔹 Shaytan's promise to mislead the children of Adam 🔹 The different ways Shaytan tries to influence human beings 🔹 The meaning of Shaytan approaching people from different directions 🔹 How worldly desires, wealth, children, and distractions can become avenues of temptation 🔹 Why Shaytan ultimately has no authority over Allah’s sincere servants 🔹 How to recognize Shaytan’s whispers in everyday life 🔹 Practical lessons for protecting our iman, families, and hearts from misguidance 💡 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: Iblis knew Allah ﷻ, but his arrogance prevented him from obeying Him. This reminds us that knowing what is right is not enough. True faith requires humility, submission, and obedience. Shaytan has promised to mislead the children of Adam, but Allah ﷻ has also shown us that his power is limited. The believer's protection lies in turning back to Allah, seeking His guidance, and refusing to follow the whispers that lead us away from Him. Ask yourself: Which distractions or desires could Shaytan be using to slowly pull my heart away from Allah ﷻ? May Allah ﷻ protect us from the whispers and deception of Shaytan, purify our hearts from arrogance and pride, strengthen our iman, and make us among His sincere servants whom Shaytan cannot overcome. May Allah ﷻ protect our families and children from misguidance, help us recognize falsehood when it is beautified before us, and keep our hearts firm upon the straight path until we meet Him.
