GMKtec NEO X1 Pro Review – A Mobile-on-Desktop RTX 5070 BEAST

The GMKtec NEO X1 Pro packs some seriously powerful hardware into a compact MODT desktop, including the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, 64GB of DDR5 SODIMM memory, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. In this review, I take a look at the design, internal hardware, upgradeability, thermals, power consumption, storage performance, and real-world gaming performance. I also benchmark the NEO X1 Pro using Cinebench, 3DMark Time Spy, CrystalDiskMark, and several games at both 1080p and 1440p. GMKtec provided the NEO X1 Pro for this review, but they did not have any input on my testing or conclusions.
