BADGRUB is an electronic music project (duet) that creates tracks in the hard techno and hardbass styles. Their unique feature is that they take motifs from Russian folk songs and speed them up to a club tempo. The musicians themselves describe their work as “new Russian rave,” where they reinterpret rave culture through the lens of Russian culture. OKSANA POCHEPA is known to many under the pseudonym Akula: in the early 2000s, her early hits were played on almost all radio stations and at discos.
