Go Gardening Season 5 Episode 6

Wow! What a great couple of opportunities we had to prepare for the July Go Gardening Show. Not only did we get a chance to get a thorough rundown of how a traditional homesite was converted into a Texas native plant showcase but we also toured a true landscape masterpiece featured in magazines and books. The crew's first stop was a home on nearly an acre of land where the homeowners transformed a turfgrass front yard into a well designed vista of colorful native plants. Stepping into the back yard we discovered another level of creative landscape design. This landscape will be on the Go Gardening "we've gotta go back" list. While our first stop was truly inspiring, we then toured a home in the Callaghan Road area that words really can't do its beauty justice. The purposeful design included peaceful seating areas, creative positioning of native plant textures, carefully coordinated uses of native plant colors and an overall imaginative use of water and yard art throughout. If there ever was a must watch show for gaining landscaping knowledge and enjoyment...this one is it.
