We take a close look at Derrick Rose, Michael Jordan and other players to examine skin, hair, sweat, tattoos, jersey materials, shoes, contact shadows, lighting and fine details before seeing how everything holds together during actual gameplay. The real question isn’t whether 2X creates “twice the graphics.” It doesn’t. The question is whether an additional neural-rendering pass can make an already impressive image look even more convincing — or whether we eventually reach the point of diminishing returns and over-processing.
