Jaguar XJR6 X300 Automatic versus Manual Transmission Showdown

Rare footage of multiple Jaguar XJR6 X306 models to show you the difference between the automatic (GM 4L80-E) and manual (Getrag 290) transmissions. The two automatic cars here are factory standard, two are converted from automatic to manual using original parts from a NA manual X300 donor, and one is a factory manual. As far as I know the only difference in the parts when converting an XJR auto to manual using a non-supercharged X300 donor car is the clutch cover, which presumably is a bit stronger on a factory manual. Note the "breathed upon" converted manual has a lightened single mass flywheel and competition clutch amongst many other performance upgrades. It is significantly faster than most XJR6s.
