Original Christian Poem Set to Celtic Music Surrender The struggle with earth continues The feet of clay The legs of lead The base thoughts The muddied dreams Character flawed always In all ways Less than the sky We aspire Under heavens of brass To fly What is the secret, the alchemy? Sometimes the answer Seems just beyond fingertips Then we fail And move on in despair Dragging dross A glimpse of light A touch A smile Lightning across a charcoal sky And suddenly all is flame All forgotten All forgiven All redeemed Can we believe again, And sigh And surrender to grace?
