The ENTIRE History of Palestine in 13 Minutes

#historyofpalestine #palestinehistory #gaza A balanced, chronological history of Palestine and Israel, from the Canaanites and the ancient kingdoms to the Ottoman era, the British Mandate, 1948, 1967 and the Gaza war, told through the idea that almost every event in this land has two names. The video begins with Jericho and the ancient Canaanites, then covers the Philistines, the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, the Babylonian exile and the Second Temple. It explains how Roman rule, the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD and the Bar Kokhba revolt shaped Jewish history, and how the Byzantine era, the Arab conquest of 636 and the building of the Dome of the Rock made Jerusalem holy to three faiths. You will see how Crusaders, Saladin, the Mamluks and the Ottomans each left their mark. From there, the video follows the rise of Zionism and Arab nationalism, the Balfour Declaration, the British Mandate, the Arab Revolt, the Holocaust and the 1947 UN partition plan. It presents 1948 from both perspectives, as Israel's War of Independence and as the Palestinian Nakba, and does the same for 1967. It then covers the PLO, the Intifadas, the Oslo Accords, the 2005 withdrawal from Gaza, the rise of Hamas, and the war that followed the attack of October 7, 2023. The final section reflects the situation as of autumn 2026, including the ceasefire of October 2025 and the growing number of countries that recognize a State of Palestine. This is a fast overview, so each period gets only a few sentences. Sensitive events are covered factually and without graphic detail, and numbers are attributed where sources differ. If you want a clear starting point for understanding the history behind the headlines, whether for study or general understanding, this is a good place to begin. Dates, names and places are included so you can explore any period in more depth. #israelpalestinehistory #middleeasthistory #jerusalem #canaanitewoman #balfourdeclaration #britishmandate #nakbaline #1948War #sixdaywar #osloaccords #gazawar #westbank #zionisme #ottomanempire #domeoftherock #westernwall #UNPartitionPlan #ancienthistory #animatedhistory #historyexplained #worldhistory #historydocumentary #HistoryReeled 0:00 Introduction 0:32 Ancient civilizations 2:55 Islamic and Ottoman rule 4:36 Rise of nationalism 6:13 The British mandate 7:46 1948 war and displacement 8:55 1967 war and occupation 9:55 Peace attempts and intifadas 11:48 Recent conflicts and status
