Can we talk about how moms aren’t allowed to say “I’m tired”?
I saw a mom post that she was exhausted, and the comments were full of “don’t say that, you’re a mom.” Like being a mom means we gave up the right to have a hard day.
In this one I’m getting it off my chest: why we’re tired (it’s not just the sleep), the mental load nobody sees, the toddler who won’t let you pee alone, and why hiding in the bathroom for five minutes doesn’t make you a bad mom. I also talk about why support matters more than money, and what to do if you have a mom in your life.
If a mom says she’s tired, she’s tired. Believe her. Check on her.
Moms, tell me in the comments: how are you really doing?
