Is Cannes really just for celebrities, millionaires and people with superyachts? I spent a day exploring Cannes to find out whether there's actually something here for everyone. Travelling from Juan-les-Pins, I head along the famous Croisette past Cannes' luxury hotels and private beach clubs, before visiting the Palais des Festivals as preparations for Cannes Lions get underway. From there, I leave the glitz behind and explore the markets, winding streets and alleys of Le Suquet, Cannes' beautiful old town. After meeting up with Kat, Henry and Grumpy Greg for lunch, we climb to the Church of Our Lady of Hope, take in some of the best views over Cannes and finish the day down by the beach. I arrived expecting Cannes to feel exclusive and perhaps a little out of place for an ordinary tourist. But did I change my mind? Join me for a day in Cannes on the French Riviera to find out.
