Michael Jordan scored 20 points in the third quarter, finished with 34 and the Bulls narrowly escaped game one with a win. Bulls beat the Hawks, 100-97. Jordan hit 13 of 25 shots and 7 of 10 free throws. MJ and Pippen went off in the third to lead the Bulls back from what was a significant margin early in the game. Pippen finished with 29 points, including hitting 6 of 10 from 3-point range. Dennis Rodman was ejected.
